went bugis with yuqian today.. haha i am getting tired of seeing her!! i've been seeing her more than i see her in school.. which is very bad. today's the third day we spent the whole day together (and without dear lijia, our wonderful senior!!). shopping for prom is like so tiring. and it's worse when you already don't feel like going for prom. sigh.
went bugis street. and after a few hours, we couldnt carry on. the place's just too cluttered. headache. for a moment, i thought i was in beijing (plus the fact that we could bargain. it's just soooo beijing). anyway, that's not the point. we soon made our way to some place they claimed to be Bugis Food Village, found seats and plonked ourselves there. then, some cleaner came to say that we should get sthg to eat/drink cos that's the rule. a while later, this uncle stomped towards us, and shouted one whole string of !$#@!^&*!
uncle: (in mandarin) do you know you have to buy something before you can take a seat here?! you are singaporeans! and you don't know the rules here!! - broken mandarin-
yq and i being too tired: (stares at the uncle as if he's speaking in an alienated manner, looks at each other, turns head to face the other side - yq with her elbow on the table, head resting on her hand, and me expressionless.)
we did this in slow motion.
after a few seconds,
yq: ehh, what you wanna drink?
uncle: yaaa, what drink what drink.
me: (irritated) anything laaaa, ribena lorrrr.
yq: same la same laaaa. *glares at the uncle*
WHAT KIND OF ATTITUDE IS THIS!? talk about the service sector in singapore! and the way he shouted so loudly! he just wanted to embarrass us! but luckily, we were too tired to be frightened by him. he merely embarrassed himself. HAIYOHHH but i shoudnt order ribena. hahahahaha, sounds so uncool.
